Profile of UNIZA
At present there are about 9,000 students being educated at seven faculties in 231 accredited fields of study in all forms and degrees of university studies at the University. In its over 60 years of successful existence it has become the alma mater for more than 70,000 graduates, highly skilled professionals specialising mostly in transport and technical fields as well as in management, marketing or humanities. The quality and readiness of our graduates for the needs of practice is proved by long-term high interest in hiring them by employers that cooperate with the University in the recruitment process.

Magna Charta Universitatum

The Magna Charta of the European Universities is the final result of the proposal addressed from the University of Bologna, in 1986, to the oldest European Universities. The idea of the Magna Charta was enthusiastically accepted.
During a meeting in Bologna (June 1987) the delegates of 80 European Universities elected an eight members board including: the President of the European Rectors Conference, the Rectors of the Universities of Bologna, Paris I, Leuven, Barcelona, prof. Giuseppe Caputo (University of Bologna), prof. Manuel Nunez Encabo (President of the sub-commission for Universities of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe).
